Matt Johnson, CEO
What’s your role at EarlySense?
I am EarlySense’s CEO, which means I have the pleasure of leading our strategy and execution across the globe.
Why did you join EarlySense?
I’ve spent my entire career at the intersection of health and technology. When I learned about EarlySense and the world-changing technology that the team created, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Throughout my career, I’ve looked for ways to use technology to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life for patients. At EarlySense, I knew we had the opportunity to do exactly that.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I think the greatest benefit any company can give to its employees is to surround them with absolutely brilliant coworkers. At EarlySense, I have the pleasure of working the the smartest, most dedicated, most capable coworkers in Israel and the States. They are challenging and demanding and they keep me on my toes. Working with this team is definitely what I enjoy most about my role.
What has been your biggest learning experience since starting at EarlySense?
We have the opportunity to create solutions that help people stay healthier, live longer, and, for our clinical partners, work smarter. Med Tech combines all the challenging and exciting aspects of high technology with the world changing impact of healthcare.
Our team has led EarlySense through some major transformations, over the last few years. We have transformed the company from one focused on capital sales to hospitals to one focused on a remote care model with recurring revenue. It’s impossible to overstate just how much we learned in the process. It’s been quite an adventure.
What do you like to do outside of work – what are your passions?
My wife Laura and I have five school-aged kids, so my life outside of work is mostly consumed with family activities. We love family trips to the beach and the mountains, camping adventures, and coaching and cheering on our kids’ sports teams.
