Meet EarlySense – Skip Coleman Wade

Skip Coleman Wade, National Sales Manager

Tell me about your role and what you do at EarlySense?

I am the National Sales Manager for RPM and Telehealth.  I have been working in Telehealth with solution providers and clinical partners for more than 17 years and am now introducing the people I have worked with for many years to the benefits of contact-free continuous monitoring. Our technology is a game-changer in the Telehealth market.

When and why did you join EarlySense?

I joined in the summer of 2021.  Covid-19 brought Telehealth to a tipping point, telehealth is now widely used and valued by both patients and clinicians as a safe and meaningful way to manage patient care at home.  There are some long standing issues in telehealth that have not been solved for yet and Early Sense has an answer.  One of the biggest issues is patient compliance.  Patients often get bored/fatigued with taking measurements and responding to questions daily.  This leads to attrition of the engaged patient population.  With the ES patients don’t have to actively participate, they just go to bed each night.  The impact on non-compliance is significant! I joined ES because I wanted to be part of the next wave of RPM solutions.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I love talking to my customers.  Many I have known for years, throughout my career in telehealth and it’s been fun to see the industry grow together. 

What do you enjoy most about working in Med Tech?

I have been working in Telehealth for a long time and it has been both fun and satisfying contributing to the growth of the industry.  What we do ultimately helps people manage their health at home.  We make a positive impact of peoples quality of life. Patient’s feel safer knowing that a clinician can keep an eye on them from a distance.  For those that live rural, they can stay connected even though they may live hours away from their doctor. Technology has definitely improved lives.

What has been your biggest learning experience since starting at EarlySense?

Learning about the role that AI can play in healthcare and the efficiencies that it can create.  It’s exciting!

What do you like to do outside of work – what are your passions?

I am a traveler! I have actually been completely around the world twice, once in each direction (East/West) and to 26 countries and all 50 states.  So any spare time I have I am usually going somewhere.  The toughest thing about the last 18 months (Covid-19) is not being able to travel outside of the country.  So we pivoted, bought a camper and have been having a great time camping around the USA.
